Je ne les compte plus vraiment, mes tatouages je le fais comme je vis : au feeling. Je me laisse porter. Après plusieurs en Thaïlande, je savais que mon prochain « tattoo-étranger » serait londonien.

Pour la petite histoire : Il y a plein de raisons personnelles, j’ai pris beaucoup de grosses décisions à chacun de mes courts séjours à Londres : rupture, me lancer à mon compte, oser… Cette ville est synonyme de changement chez moi. A chacun de mes retours de Londres ma vie a pris un virage à 90°. Des décisions que je n’ai jamais regretté et qui ont tout changé.

Cette adresse je l’ai trouvé grâce à une rencontre française : @mohrta. Je savais ce que je voulais et il m’a conseillé un tatoueur qui avait le style que je recherchais : un peu oldschool, les traits pas forcement fins. C’est Karl Cooper du salon Gilt Moth Tattoo qui s’est occupé de moi.

En plus du tatouage on a découvert un quartier super sympa de Londres : Greenwich (oui comme le méridien) mais je vous en dis plus dans mon avis

MON AVIS :

Situé à Greenwich, dans une petite avenue, on a déjà eu un coup de coeur pour le quartier. En bonnes touristes, on avait identifié quelques zones à visiter à Londres mais pas celle-ci et je vous la recommande : Food Market, chill sur l’herbe du Parc… Gros point positif : vous pouvez y aller en bateau. On a embarqué à Big Ben pour plus de 40min de bateau. Une promenade à faire.

Le salon lui est très sympa, à deux pas de tous les transports et un mini cabinet de curiosité à l’entrée et tous les books des tatoueurs. L’avantage : En un shop tu as différents styles de tatouages. Parfait pour faire pour un tatouage qui te correspond. Tu peux déjà voir un peu les style dans les stories à la une de leur instagram.
Propreté et hygiène +++ (car c’est ce qu’on attend en général). Contrairement à la France tu auras un papier à signer avant le tatouage (une décharge).
J’ai été tatouée par Karl Cooper. Il m’a de suite dessiné le tatouage que j’ai validé dans la foulée. Après je ne suis pas difficile, j’aime faire confiance au tatoueur. Mon bras étant déjà assez avancé (je vous fais prochainement l’article sur le tatouage et L’Atelier privé qui a réalisé la plupart de mes tattoos), je voulais juste quelque chose sui se fonde avec le reste et… un papillon. Karl a été patient et compréhensif face à mon niveau d’anglais #oups et c’est passé super vite. Le résultat est juste parfait. Comme tous mes précédents tatouages, en quelques minutes il fait déjà parti de moi. J’ai quand même fait une danse de la joie dans le salon. Pour le prix, j’ai payé le même tarif qu’en France pour un tatouage de cette taille.
Tu souhaites découvrir un beau quartier de Londres et un peu de nature tout en allant te faire un beau tatouage : Gilt Moth Tattoo ! Par contre réserve ton rendez-vous dès que tu sais que tu vas à Londres, le temps d’attente peut-être long en fonction des tatoueurs.
